When the final bell rings, teachers don't stop being interesting. We asked a few to share
their lives outside of school-and uncovered some cool, little-known facts along the way.
Mr. Cannon (Social Studies):
"I host a game show on New Hampshire PBS call "Granite State Challenge." It airs Thursdays at 8:30pm on NHPBS but you can watch new and old episodes any time on nhpbs.org."
Mr. Ross (Math):
"I have an identical twin brother who also has the abbreviation JROSS."
Mr. Watson (Social Studies):
"Outside of school, I am a pretty quiet person."
Mrs. Guilbert (Science):
"I really love to cook and make insanely good chocolate chip cookies! Also, I never wanted to be a science teacher and my first major in college was Outdoor Recreation until I changed it to Biology and Chemistry after my first semester in college."
Ms. Burd (English):
"I recently finished hiking the 48 four-thousand footers of NH. My dog/best friend, Winston, hiked 46 of them with me. This is the longest term goal I've achieved in my life!"
Mr. McKilen (Latin) :
"I love playing badminton. I attended seminary in New York City for a year. My birth name was Michael Louis D'Angelo. When Ms. McKilen and I got married, we wanted to use all four of our family names. We both took D'Angelo and Weiss as our middle names and combined "McCahon" and "Kille" to form McKilen!"
