Boys Lacrosse The boys lacrosse team had a great season with a record of 12-2! The team is seeded second to Coe-Brown moving into the playoffs and hopes to win the championship. Team captain Sam Bennett who was selected to play in the New Hampshire Byrne Cup Twin State All Star game had a lot to say about the team, stating, "This has been a great season and I've seen a lot of growth in our players. We overcame challenges when playing against good teams and it's been great to watch everyone improve and become a family over this season." Along with many important milestones, captain and starting goalie Brad Ekstrom achieved 500 career saves during the season. When asked about his achievement, Brad was modest and said, "I'm proud of it but I wouldn't have been able to do it without support from my team." Moving forward in the year it's apparent that this team is excited about playoffs and we are all ready to see what they can do!
Girls Lacrosse The girls lacrosse team had an amazing season with a record of 14-1. Moving into playoffs as the one seed has made them the team to beat, but they are ready to proudly hold the trophy at the end of the year. Among many highlights, starting goalie Gianna Trott reached 300 saves as a Junior. When asked about the season, she replied, "Our team finished the regular season with a 14-1 record, clinching the top seed heading into playoffs. We have a lot of energy and enthusiasm, which has helped us stay motivated all season. Our strong communication and teamwork have been the biggest reasons for our success and sets us apart in our division." With these kind words from Gianna, the girls lacrosse team is ready to sweep through playoffs, and we can't wait to watch!
Boys Tennis The boys tennis team had a great season with a record of 11-3. With semi-finals coming up, the team is hoping to do well and steal the championship. Junior Milo Cocola had a lot to say about the team, stating, "I've enjoyed watching the whole team including myself get better throughout the season. We have faced a lot of challenging teams, but we took those as opportunities to learn and get better, which I'm very proud of. I'm excited for this Semi-Final and the rest of the team is anxious to win." It's easy to say that the boys are ready for a championship and so are we!
Girls Tennis The girls tennis team had a good season with a record of 8-6. The girls were seeded eighth moving into playoffs and lost to Souhegan. The team did send four players to states for both singles and doubles, including Graceyn DeCosta, Alexis Pelletier, Sierra Scull, and Addison Rader! Sophomore Saige Ayers was asked about her thoughts on the season and was proud of the team, stating, "Prior to the season I think we were all a little nervous about having to play top 6 without seniors from last year. During the season everyone began to improve at practice and while playing. I believe everyone gained confidence in themselves playing tennis and had fun doing it." Although the team lost in the playoffs, they saw massive growth in confidence and talent and we are all excited to see what they can do next year!
Softball Our Bow Falcons Softball team is gearing up for what could be a great tournament run! The Softball team is sitting at 6th in the standings, with ten wins and six losses after having just won their last regular season matchup against John Stark Regional High School on Sunday, May 31. John Stark was the previous 6th seed, only two above the Bow Falcons before this matchup, so this was a monumental win to give the team an even better placement for the tournament. The softball team this year is filled with immense talent including, but not limited to, pitcher Taylor Ouellette (2025 All-State 1st team) and infielder Madison Oppold (2025 All-State 2nd team). With these two talented players at the helm of Bow Falcons Softball, guided by excellent coaching, a deep tournament run for our Bow Falcons seems to be more likely the closer we get to the post season.
Baseball Bow Falcons Baseball is determined to play to the best of their abilities in this post season run, at least according to Captain Clayton Nadzan. When asked about his outlook on the tournament, Clayton replied by saying, "I think that there's no team that can completely shut us down. I think that if all of us are locked in we can go far in the tournament." By the sound of it, the only thing standing between Bow Falcons Baseball and a potential state title is the team's mentality. It already seems like it is mentally ready for what's to come, which is a big step in the right direction. Falcons Baseball ended the regular season with six wins and 11 losses, barely making the cut for this year's post-season tournament. This placement in the standings is going to give them a very hard first round matchup. Although they have lost great talent such as last year's Pitcher of the Year Nate Kiah, First Team All Stater Jake Reardon, Second Team All Staters Owen Webber, Dillan Abbotte, and Brady Lover, and Third Team All Stater Owen Cray, we still have a very talented team that includes a very powerful bullpen. This year's bullpen consists of last year All State First Team pitcher Peyton Larrabee and All State Third Team pitcher Troy Konstantakos, who both will pose a massive challenge to opposing hitters. With this team's talent, especially in the bullpen, and its great mentality, we should expect something great from our Bow Falcons in this year's tournament.
Track and Field The Falcons Track and Field Team just finished states which they performed amazingly in, and two Bow Falcons were crowned state champions in their individual events. Overall, the boys had a total team score of 24, giving them the 9th place in states. The girls were able to score a total of 27 points, placing them right in the middle of the standings at 7th place overall. Both the boys and girls this year performed well in this year's state meet. When it comes to individual players though, our bow falcons had two star players who both brought home the state title in their respective events. Gavin Buxton was able to finish with a time of 11 seconds on the dot to be crowned D2 state champion. This comes after winning the state title for the 55 meter dash in the winter season. Gavin will be going on to continue his athletic and academic career at Merrimack College in Massachusetts, and hopefully win many more titles in his college career. Our second state title winner, Julia Hou, was able to bring home some hardware with a winning height of 11'1" in the girls pole vault. This was a whopping seven inches higher than the second place score, so great job to Julia for her amazing performance in this year's state meet. We had many participants in states this year who weren't seniors. This means we should see a great showing out of our Falcons next year at states as well!
