GOAL! That's something your own Brinity Falcons girls' ice hockey players have heard many times this season. Not up to date on who this great group of girls are? They are a talented group of women from three schools who have worked together since December 1, 2025. Students from Bishop Brady, Manchester Trinity, and Bow High School have had an impressive season. They have a record of 12 wins with only 6 losses. This year, Brinity has a record number of freshmen coming in at an impressive 8 players. They have no sophomores, but they have 5 juniors and 5 seniors. Girls' ice hockey has grown rapidly over the past few years, becoming one of the most exciting and competitive sports, with many schools in New Hampshire participating in either their own team or multi-school co-ops. The Brinity Falcons have showcased skill, teamwork, and determination.
Previously, many female players had to compete on boys' teams or recreational teams in high school. They are fortunate that a dedicated girls' team was formed. This team has demonstrated remarkable offensive skills and defensive tactics. They have skating ability, puck control, passing accuracy and strategic teamwork. They backcheck and forecheck like it was being graded. The players move constantly up and down the ice, transitioning between offense and defense. They have players with really strong shots and excellent blocking. If you were to look at the core skills of hockey, they have them all! The coaches have disciplined positioning and quick decision making to create scoring opportunities and prevent goals. These players work as a team to win for themselves, their coaches and their schools. Perhaps this team will be a stepping stone for players to continue their careers in college. For the second year in a row since joining the co-op, the Brinity Falcons have entered the semi-final playoffs. If you missed them this season, there's always next year to catch this talented group of girls back on the ice.
