Club #1: Student Senate
Who: Reach out to your class representatives, the Student Board, or Mr. Cannon.
What: Student Senate is made up of four students who represent each grade. They communicate and represent the student body and work with advisors and faculty.
When: Class of 2026, 2027, and 2028 elections happened in the spring and the Class of 2029 election will happen in the fall.
Where: Each year meetings are held in a different classroom.
Why: It is a good opportunity to take part in a leadership role if students are interested; it is a good way of finding solutions to any issues within the BHS community. It is a great way of becoming more involved within the community and the school!
How: A student who is interested must submit an election form with 20 peer signatures and give a speech about why they would be a good candidate for this leadership opportunity.
Club #2: Ping Pong Club
Who: Mr. Laughlin
What: Ping Pong is a table version of tennis and can be referred to as “Table Tennis”. It is on a smaller level, much more inclusive, and it is open for anybody to join. Team play (team vs team) is more practiced than individual (1v1).
When: Tuesdays and Fridays during Flex from 7:30-8:15
Where: The Mini Gym at BHS
Why: While Mr. Laughlin was coaching tennis, the Ping Pong Club slowly grew over time. It has been an active club for 7 years now. The overall population of the club has been beginning to build.
How: Just show up and bring a positive attitude.
