Unified Soccer
The Bow High School unified soccer team had an awesome year! The team went 4–0 and scored close to eighty goals. Unified soccer had an outstanding season and welcomed Anthony and Josh to the field as new players! Leland was a team leader and set an example by being ready to play any position. Jameson was the heart of the team and kept everyone laughing with his jokes! Elora made sure to be a team player, helping move the ball up the field and earning as many assists as she could. Shannon was a rockstar and had so much fun playing goalie! Gabe didn’t take a break from scoring and had plenty of support from players and partners to ensure he had opportunities each game. Denny scored multiple goals and made sure everyone was laughing during practices. Coach Thomas says, “Beyond the amazing score lines, this season was a masterclass in pure joy. It was filled with laughter, some singing, constant high-fives, and deep, lasting friendships forged that will extend far beyond the field.” By the looks of it, the unified soccer team knows exactly what team sports are all about and we can't wait to see them again next year!
Golf
This year, the Bow golf team finished in fifth place for Division Two in the regular season with an outstanding record of 20-8 and finished fourth in the state championship. The team did great this year, highlighted by a win streak of four straight matches: at Bow twice, Hollis-Brookline, and Winnacunnet and Sagamore. This season's captains were Brendan O'Keeffe and Jake Gancarz with Jake qualifying for the individual championship and placing in the top ten! Gancarz was also one of the season's top scorers. Gancarz said, “ The team exceeded expectations and I couldn't be happier with how we performed. Overall, Bow looks to be a growing golf program and I can’t wait for next season.”
Bass Fishing
The Bass fishing team had a great season. With a great mix of returning anglers and new freshmen, the team competed in three tournaments. First, Bow sent two teams to Coe-Brown and ended up having Tyler Pierpont and Jacob Hartshorn finish second place. In the state qualifier, Ethan Herrick and Garret Landers represented Bow on lake Winnipesaukee. The team did amazing and broke Bow's record of heaviest weight with a bag just over twenty one pounds! With that weight, the team finished first out of thirty three teams! With that win, the boys qualified for the state championship on Newfound lake! In the championship, Bow finished seventh place for the year. Along with highlights like a twenty one pound bag and a championship appearance, Junior Garret Landers was the school’s Angler of the Year and Ethan Herrick was named the New Hampshire Angler of the Year! Ethan has high hopes for the team, stating, “We should have a strong returning team and I'm ready for a great season next year.” It's safe to say that next year the team will be eager to hop on the lake and reel in some more wins!
Field Hockey
The Field hockey team had an amazing regular season where they tied with John Stark for second place and had a record of 13-2-1,eight games of which being shutouts! The team made it all the way to championships and made it the third year in a row with a final four appearance! There were many highlights this year, along with stand out players. Both Josie Johnson and Peyton Vaughn made 1st team all state and Kaylee Jacques and Madelyn Hebert made 2nd team all state! Throughout the season, not one but two players reached one hundred career points! Peyton reached one hundred points as just a sophomore and is looking to be a top goal scorer moving into the second half of her high school career. Junior Shire Kelly also reached one hundred career points and is an example of the strong Junior class that will be leading the team next year! The field hockey team will be one to watch next year and we can’t wait to see another great performance next season!
Football
The Bow Falcons Football team’s season this year was full of highs and lows. This year, the Falcons finished the season with 3 wins and 6 losses, unfortunately missing the playoffs. The team started off the season relatively well, with an even record of 1 win and 1 loss after the first two games. Following this, the team unfortunately went on a 4-game losing streak, but then pulled it together and won two in a rowagainst John Stark and Pembroke. The team ended the season with a disappointing 20-47 loss against Trinity under the lights. This year's team featured a new coaching staff as well. When asked about his thoughts on the new coaches this year, Junior Dale Berg said that he thought the new coaching staff did a great job. He also said that it was definitely hard for the players to learn a completely new playbook, and he also stated that “Injuries killed us” in reference to the team's performance this season. Overall, this season was a stepping stone for potentially great seasons to come.
Boys Soccer
Our boys soccer team had what most would consider a great season. They finished the regular season with a record of 7 wins, 4 losses, and 5 ties. This great regular season play is what led them to a spot in the playoffs as the 8th seed. In the first round, the boys played Lebanon, who were the 9th seed. Unfortunately, the team lost to Lebanon in this game, which subsequently ended their 2025 season. The future of this team looks promising though, at least according to junior Clayton Nadzan, who was adefensive starter this year. Clayton said, “we haven't lost too many people,” and that “we are going to be the same team.” This season was a learning experience for the team, and we should be expecting a great season out of the boys soccer team next year and in the years to come!
Girls Soccer
The girls soccer team had an extraordinary season, ultimately bringing home the state championship. The girls played amazingly in the regular season, ending up with a record of 10 wins, 3 losses, and 3 ties. This fantastic regular season play put them at number 3 in the standings, the two teams above them being Oyster River, and the undefeated Hollis-Brookline team. As the third seed, the girls would receive a first round bye and start their post season play against Coe-Brown in the quarter finals and win 3-1. In the semi finals they would play the second seeded team Oyster River, and win with a final score of 1-0. With this win against Oyster River they placed themselves in the most anticipated game of the season, the state championship, and would be playing Hollis-Brookline. There would only be one goal scored the entire game, which was scored by junior Anna Zerba. When asked if she thought they could win it all again next year, Anna Zerba said that it is definitely possible. They would definitely be losing some great seniors, but the team is looking forward to a great shot at the championship again next year!
