One of the newest faculty members here at BHS is the Dean of Academics, Mrs. Schreiner. She has many important duties here at our school as she oversees multiple academic and administrative operations, as well as extracurriculars including National Honor Society. Before coming to BHS, she taught 11th and 12th grade English at Goffstown High School for about 10 years. She also taught 7th grade Language Arts for a few years in Welch, West Virginia. Since coming to BHS, her impressions of the school have been very positive. She stated that the school itself is very different from other schools that she has taught in, due in part to the flexibility, variety, and freedom that the students have. She also noted how she loves that the school’s huge variety of field trips, guest speakers, and community service opportunities show how much BHS values well-rounded, engaged, and active contributors.
Outside of work, Mrs. Schreiner enjoys a variety of hobbies including reading, going on Saturday trips to the library with her daughter, and helping out with and going for walks through her farm with her husband, daughter, and new puppy. Motivation is not hard for her to find, as she is deeply passionate about her work in public education. She couldn’t imagine doing anything else in her career and loves watching teaching and learning in action.
Mrs. Schreiner is very excited to help everyone at BHS grow in academic, personal, and professional ways. Lastly Mrs. Schreiner says, “I would love for people to know that my door is always open and I hope to be a friendly, helpful resource for anyone and everyone. Please swing by my office and/or say hello in the hallways anytime, and know that I am extremely grateful and excited to be part of this great community of learners.”
